The Thrill That Returns Every Year

In Our Noisy Bus, ordinary sounds turn into growls, hisses, and ghostly whispers — images that echo the playful spookiness of Halloween.
Through the art, I wanted to bring out that same familiar yet heart-thumping thrill, the feeling that arrives every year but never loses its spark.

 Inside the Book

Halloween night always carries a special kind of magic — the way shadows stretch, pumpkins grin, and sounds seem a little louder in the crisp air.
I did my best to capture the lively cacophony of that spirited night—the “rattle-rattle” of the bus carrying us to the school of ghosts and monsters,

the “growl-growl” of mischievous monsters, and the “hoot-hoot” of owls—creating a noisy yet joyful scene.

Again, it’s Halloween!
Again, it’s Halloween!

Halloween night can’t be quiet—that’s just not possible! So I tried to make a ruckus in my own way:

from the monster students riding the bus to the grinning pumpkins, and even raindrops plopping on all sorts of objects.

There’s not a single quiet thing in this illustration.
