Finding My Own Snow White

Back in 2014, I joined the SCBWI winter conference and took part in the illustrator’s intensive.
The assignment was simple: illustrate Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But instead of the obvious moments, I was drawn to the overlooked details—because yes, I’ve always had a quirky eye for the parts others tend to skip.

โœฆInside the Story

I worked with a soft, storybook palette and loose, flowing lines to create a balance between innocence and wit.
The characters were drawn to feel approachable—timeless, yet fresh. My goal was to let the imagery feel like it’s both honoring tradition and poking fun at it, in the gentlest way.
